Great! The emotions are great in every one of your songs, but i can't help noticing that the transitions between ideas in the song happen too quickly. I was introduced to a new idea every 10 seconds, and it didn't really give me anything to hold on to when the song was done, if you know what i mean. I guess what i'm saying is that in this kind of music, a reoccurring main theme is important. Each theme in this song could be split up into different songs, each with a theme. I know this was written a while back and is just being remastered, but it's just something I noticed. Also, the pauses in between chord changes are sometimes really effective, and sometimes they interrupt the feel of the piece.

Sorry for the criticism, it's a great song :)

BrokenDeck responds:

Remember that it's meant to be a film score, and does not follow conventional "classical" music structure.

Like i said in my other review, there are some great ideas in this, and the wintry theme was great. I also loved the piano both at the beginning and especially at the end. I can tell you spent time on this. One thing i noticed was that many notes have accented velocities and it is a bit harsh to listen to. A dynamic range is great, but not so much that i turn up the beautiful soft parts only to be brass-blasted by the loud parts :D It would make your songs nicer and more professional-sounding.

Cheers!

Very dramatic and adventurous! The one thing i noticed is that it's a bit hard to listen to on it's own, because of the slight randomness of the melodies that build the song, and the short stabs; in other words, I couldn't imagine an actual orchestra preforming this during some of the parts. However, there are some great ideas in there, and the title is Strange New Worlds, which is exactly what i envisioned when I heard this. Something that you did, that not many people do when they write orchestral pieces like this, is that you kept a consistent melody throughout the whole song. It glued the piece together, and made it seem less random.

Good job! (i'm off to check out your other songs!)

omg this is exactly how i play it! I play the piano by ear and this is the most natural way to play it for me

great song!

Echo responds:

Glad you like it! Thanks for the feedback :)

Amazing!!! Is there a way for me to obtain sheet music for this?

SoundChris responds:

Thanks a lot! Maybe i could make some sheet for the piano but it will take some time because i have got a lot of work right now. I will try :>

i clicked on itunes once it was done because i forgot that it was a newgrounds song and not a professionally mastered song on itunes. Congratulations it sounds great :) however the part starting at 2:04 sounded a little too-side chained, and was a bit distracting. great work :)

BeefourMusic responds:

Thanks, would be nice to have this up on Itunes for everybody to find! Make sure you share it around facebook so your friends can get a copy for free too! :)

French horns are beautiful. It and the piano are my favorite instruments.

Great song! really, i'm sorry i don't have time to write a review about how amazingly fluent and beautiful and emotional it is, but i was wondering what program you used to create it. Logic? Cubase? :)

BrokenDeck responds:

I used Cubase as my DAW, and EWQL as my orchestral sounds. The choir used is EWQL Symphonic Choirs. There's a also a bit of Project SAM Symphobia as well.

I make music :) Check out my newest song, Lockdown. I have more songs up on my Soundcloud page: Soundcloud.com/prodi giza
